We get questions all the time regarding how our rubber mulch holds up over time and how will plants handle the rubber mulch. Well we all use it in our yards so we know it both lasts and plants thrive but sometimes people need more than anecdotal testimonials from us. We were lucky enough to have a customer send in pictures from both their initial installation and 2.5 years after installation! Because pictures speak a thousand words we thought it would be the perfect way to show what we tell people every day.
Immediately below is the photo of the initial installation. Here we can see a beautiful row of baby plants, which look like Ixoras. They are planted in soil topped with a fresh layer of our premium red landscape rubber mulch. Our rubber mulch provides a protective layer on top from heat and cold while allowing water to penetrate to the soil and remain moist. The retaining wall even has a fresh coat of paint on it. Last we can see they used corrugated metal edging to line the bed, which keeps a nice straight edge over time and prevents the rubber mulch from mixing with the grass and vice versa.
The photo below is 2.5 years after the original install. The only thing that looks worn is the paint on the retaining wall and the sidewalk. The red rubber mulch looks fresh and vibrant and wow, the Ixoras really bloomed and the Croton looks amazing. They are full and have healthy vibrant flowers on them!
Imagine all of the re-mulching that would have taken place with wood mulch! We don't want to think of it. Isn't it time you give rubber mulch a try?
